In the fall of 1995, a new social club joined the SM, leather, fetish community in the Windy City: ONYX/Chicago.

The primary purpose of the club is to provide an informational and social outlet for African-American, Latino and Asian men and their friends involved or interested in the leather/SM/fetish scene.

As the number of men of color participating in various leather events increases, the organizers felt the need to form a group that would support and promote inclusion within the leather community at-large
